The 26th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering
The National Cowboy Poetry Gathering is a week-long celebration of life in the rural West, featuring the contemporary and traditional arts that arise from lives lived caring for land and livestock.

El Aero Cowboy Poetry package:
El Aero Services will be offering special sightseeing tours in conjunction with this event.
Enjoy a scenic helicopter tour through the Ruby Mountains. First stop: Tour a working Nevada “Centennial” cattle ranch. Your ranch tour will be conducted by Jay Dalton, a cowboy poetry performer and local rancher. This historic ranch was an original stop for the Overland Stage Coaches. You will see the original barn, built in the 1870’s, and learn how the ranch has adopted modern techniques while preserving the best of the old West. You will then be transported to your second stop (by ground transportation) to the Ruby Mountain Brewing Company. You will have a short tour through this Award Winning local micro brewery, complete with beer tasting! Finally, you will return to Elko by helicopter- on a different route, completing your Ruby Mountain scenic tour. Only $350.00 per person.

2010 Elko Mining Expo
Elko Mining Expo is one of the oldest and most respected mining expos held in the United States and draws close to 8,000 people, nationally and internationally, to its mining industry exhibits and technical seminars. Elko Sky Fair 2010
The Experimental Aircraft Association and El Aero Services are proud to host the Elko Sky Fair 2009, featuring National Championship Air Race winner Dennis Buehn and his American Warbird T-6’s! Dennis will be offering rides as well as performing fly-bys and demonstrations.
Held in conjunction with the Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival, the Sky Fair promotes aviation in Elko with static displays of vintage and warbird aircraft, displays of locally operated aircraft and firefighting equipment, radio controlled model flying demonstrations, hot air balloon exhibition, military displays, and much more! El Aero Services will be offering helicopter rides for Sky Fair patrons. We will start the day off with an 8:00 AM pancake breakfast provided by our local EAA chapter. Lunch will be provided by the Civil Air Patrol.

The 47th Annual National Championship Air Races, Reno, NV
The National Championship Air Races ["NCAR"] and Air Show is held just outside Reno, Nevada every year. Race aircraft in the Unlimited Class reach speeds of over 500 mph - by far the fastest-moving machines in motorsports! The event includes a world-class air show featuring the US Navy "Blue Angels" flying the F-18 Hornet plus military and civil flight demonstrations, including a large display of static aircraft.
